28th Annual Harvestfest

Tipton, Pennsylvania – The temperatures are dropping, the leaves are changing and autumn is in the air.  The area’s premier fall festival is gearing up for another exciting season finale at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park.

Harvestfest takes place on Saturday and Sunday, September 27th & 28th, 2014.  The park grounds open at 8am, craft and food vendor shopping begins at 10am and the rides open at 11am both days.  A $6 Admission includes rides and entertainment.

Harvestfest will feature more than 150 craft and food vendors.  Fall food favorites like ham & bean soup, apple butter, apple dumplings, pierogies and much, much more are all on the menu.

On the main stage the Harvestfest visitors will be entertained by the Wild World of Animals with performances at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm Saturday and then Noon, 2pm and 4pm on Sunday.

Ventriloquist Sylvia Fletcher will have a show in the Tipton Creek area.  Her shows will take place at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm each day.

Local artist Dennie Huber will entertain with magic and balloons near Murf’s Kitchen at 1:30pm, 2:30pm and 4:00pm each day.

The Keystone Klickers Clogging Group will have a performance at 11:30am, 12:30pm and 1:30pm in the midway area on Saturday only.  Strolling musician Ray Owen will entertain the crowd on Sunday only.

For Harvestfest visitors who like to visit with four legged friends, a petting zoo is also going to be set up in the park.

History enthusiasts can take a walk back in time by touring the Civil War Encampment located at the Tipton Creek Railroad area in the park.  Cannons will signal the start of the shows each day at Noon, 2:30pm and 4pm.

“This fall festival is a showcase for fantastic food, creative crafts and wonderful entertainment,” says Carl Crider,  Jr., General Manager and President of DelGrosso’s Amusement Park.  “We will have wood carvers, pumpkin decorating and even an antique car show on Sunday.  Harvestfest has a little something for everyone.”
