28th Annual Italian Food & Heritage Festival This Weekend At DelGrosso's Park
Tipton, Pennsylvania – If you enjoy delicious Italian food and fine Italian music, then it is time for you to pull out your red, white, & green and join the DelGrosso Family this Sunday, September 17th for the 28th Annual Italian Food and Heritage Festival.
“We are proud of our family heritage and traditions. If there is one thing Italians love, it is good food. This annual showcase of food, family, and fun is a celebration we look forward to every year,” says Carl Crider Jr, President of DelGrosso’s Park.
The Italian Food and Heritage Festival runs from 11am-5pm on Sunday, September 17th. DelGrosso Foods, Inc. and University Orthopedics Center sponsor this annual day of Italian food and music.
There will be something for every taste bud. The Kitchens of DelGrosso will be serving up Lasagna, Chicken Cacciatore, Italian Wedding Soup, Pasta Fagioli, and so much more. Pacifico Bakery will have their amazing breads and Mt. Carmel Church features Italian Pastries that will include Biscotti and Cannoli. You can top off your visit with Italian Rum Cake or Tiramisu from the Kitchens of DelGrosso.
Italian entertainer Daniela Pasquini, Marco Fiorante, and Friends will take the stage at 1pm and 3pm. Faiella’s Father and Son Strolling Guitar and Mandolin Duo will entertain guests throughout the park.
Altoona resident Mark C. Koch, owner of the Number 1 Lifeboat from the Italian Line Ship Andrea Doria, will have this historic vessel on display for the community during Italianfest. The Andrea Doria was a luxury Italian passenger liner that sank on July 25-26, 1956, after colliding with the Stockholm off the coast of Nantucket in the Atlantic Ocean. Last year a museum quality restoration was completed on the vessel and since then it has only been shown to the public twice.
The Italian Food and Heritage Festival takes place during the park’s annual Car Load Sale Weekend. On September 16th and 17th up to 10 people safely seat-belted in one vehicle can get an All-Day Fun Pass for the rides for just $15 per car. This is a great deal for the family who would like to have some park fun before the end of the season.
DelGrosso's Park is open weekends in September at 11am.
