Summer Thunder Fireworks

DelGrosso's Park and Laguna Splash are teaming up with We Can Do It! WWII - A Traveling Exhibition for Summer Thunder 2019! The We Can Do It! WWII Exhibit is hosted by the Railroaders Memorial Museum in partnership with the Blair County Historical Society and will be open May 25-July 16, 2019, with various associated events happening throughout the Altoona area! For more information about We Can Do It! WWII events, click here.

Note: Fireworks Prohibited at DelGrosso's Park. The use of any type of fireworks (Class B & C), including sparklers, in the Main Parking Lot and on Park Grounds is strictly prohibited. Violators will be asked to leave the property.

Laguna Splash Water Park: 11am-7pm
Water Side Food Stands: 11am-10pm*
*Grill Americano and Laguna Snacks closing at 7pm.

DelGrosso's Park Rides and Food Stands: 12pm-11:30pm**
**Note: All Rides will be closed during Summer Thunder Fireworks. Select Rides and Food Stands will reopen following the conclusion of the Fireworks Show.

Summer Thunder Hours and Operation of Rides and Water Park Attractions subject to change due to crowd/weather conditions, staffing changes, or unexpected maintenance issues.

JULY 4th TRAFFIC PATTERNS:

Please note that the following traffic patterns will take place starting at 10:30pm on July 4th. These traffic patterns are to help ensure the safety of all motorists in and around DelGrosso’s Park.

Motorists Parked In the Main Parking Lot for DelGrosso’s Park:  After the fireworks, all traffic from the main lot will be directed to the RIGHT to head NORTH towards Tyrone and the Tipton/Grazierville Exit 45 to I-99. There will be two lanes of traffic running NORTH towards Tyrone and the I-99 Interchange.

Traffic Traveling South on East Pleasant Valley Blvd(NORTH of Rossi’s Corner Store): You will be directed to turn RIGHT at Tipton Road. You will not be permitted to travel South on East Pleasant Valley Boulevard past DelGrosso’s Park.

Motorists Parked in the DelGrosso Foods Lawn/Or Parked Along East Pleasant Valley Blvd (SOUTH of Rossi’s Corner Store):  You will be directed to Exit SOUTH using East Pleasant Valley Boulevard to head towards Bellwood and Exit 41 to I-99.

All Traffic Parked South of the River Road Intersection:  You will not be permitted to travel North on East Pleasant Valley Boulevard past DelGrosso’s Park.You will be directed to turn LEFT onto River Road.

Traffic Traveling from River Road:  Traffic from River Road will be directed RIGHT using East Pleasant Valley Boulevard to head towards Bellwood and Exit 41 to I-99. Traffic will not be able to reach DelGrosso’s Park from River Road.

These traffic patterns will stay in effect until it is safe to return to a normal traffic flow.

On July 6th, 2014 Fred DelGrosso would have turned 100 years old.  On September 7th, 2014 his wife, Mafalda (Murf) would have turned 100 years old.  To celebrate their centennial birthdays our 4th of July Summer Thunder Fireworks Show was a Tribute to the Founders of DelGrosso Foods, Inc and DelGrosso's Amusement Park.
